Jan. 2026 – April. 2026

Built a DBus API, a hardware-in-the-loop test rig, and recovery tooling for embedded Linux telematics devices running across a fleet of thousands.

DBus Embedded Linux CAN Bus OpenTelemetry
  • Implemented a DBus API in an embedded Linux daemon, defining signal and method contracts across GPIO and UART-MCU paths to decouple hardware events
  • Deployed a HIL test rig with RPi controller by assembling CAN bus hardware, enabling local FOTA and video validation across device variants
  • Diagnosed and remediated video pipeline faults across 3,000 cameras by boot-time init sequencing, stall detection, and post-OOM hardware cleanup for automated recovery
  • Instrumented an OTel collector with StatsD counters to surface configuration failures across a fleet of 1900+ devices

Vishay Precision Group

Toronto, ON

May. 2025 – Aug. 2025

Developed FPGA logic and firmware deployment tooling for precision weight-measurement hardware, plus a MATLAB sensor-validation pipeline.

Verilog Xilinx Vivado JTAG MATLAB
  • Implemented FPGA logic in Verilog for precision weight measurement in Xilinx Vivado through RTL simulation and JTAG-based functional testing, automating verification with Tcl scripts and confirming signal integrity via oscilloscope and logic analyzer
  • Developed C utility to parse MCS files and write to FPGA flash via PCIe, deploy firmware remotely via SSH/SCP to enable field updates across analog I/O, LCI, and carrier card hardware
  • Developed sensor validation pipeline in MATLAB to process camera data, applying edge detection to compute steel rod camber deviations and automating dimensional verification with Python

KA Imaging

Waterloo, ON

Sep. 2024 – Dec. 2024

Built sensor acquisition, calibration, and multi-panel image stitching software for X-ray imaging detectors.

Image Processing Sensor Calibration
  • Developed sensor acquisition pipeline for X-ray imaging, implementing gain/offset calibration to normalize raw detector output
  • Optimized multi panel stitching, applying histogram correction with matrix transformation for clinical visualization

Onsemi

Waterloo, ON

Jan. 2024 – April. 2024

Wrote low-level GPIO and I²C drivers in C and debugged FPGA hardware for automotive systems testing.

C GPIO/I²C FPGA
  • Developed low level GPIO and I²C driver functions in C to access FPGA control register and FTDI hardware, enabling real-time register-level configuration and testing of automotive vehicle systems
  • Diagnosed and resolved FPGA board and adaptor faults across multiple projects using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
